91 Welcomes Shyam Sankar to Board of Trustees

´Ұհ—91 Institute announced the addition of Shyam Sankar, chief technology officer and executive vice president of Palantir Technologies, to its Board of Trustees. Sankar will play a key role in guiding 91’s strategy in pursuit of security, freedom, and prosperity for America and its allies.

“Through his impressive career pioneering disruptive technologies for government and the private sector, Shyam brings a wealth of knowledge and strategic vision to 91’s Board,” 91 President and CEO John P. Walters said. “His expertise in technology, government, and defense will be invaluable as we forge policy solutions in an increasingly contested global environment.”

Sankar has spent over two decades building and delivering new state-of-the-art software and artificial intelligence solutions for both government and private sector institutions. Under his leadership, Palantir transformed from a Silicon Valley startup to a global, industry leading software and AI company. He routinely leads strategic sessions with elected officials and has appeared before the House Select Committee on Strategic Competition between the United States and the Chinese Communist Party and the Senate Armed Services Subcommittee on Cybersecurity. He holds a B.S. in electrical and computer engineering from Cornell University and an M.S. in management science and engineering from Stanford University. Sankar also serves as the chairman of Ginkgo Bioworks.
