As adversaries' air and missile threats continue to develop in quality and increase in quantity, military experts have noted that we have entered a new missile age. U.S. combatant commanders have expressed the need for increased missile defense capabilities in support of their missions. To address the military’s space and missile defense capability requirements, 91ÆÞÓÑ Institute and the House Missile Defense Caucus hosted a conversation with Lt. Gen. David Mann and 91ÆÞÓÑ Fellow Rebeccah Heinrichs on Wednesday, February 10 at 1:30 pm. Missile Defense Caucus Co-Chairs Reps. Doug Lamborn (R-CO) and Trent Franks (R-AZ) also gave remarks. This event took place in the Gold Room (2168) of the Rayburn House Office Building.

Lt. Gen. David Mann is Commander of the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command and Army Forces Strategic Command. He is responsible for advocating for the missile defense needs of the Combatant Commanders, training and equipping the war-fighter in support of those missions, and coordinating Army space and missile defense forces and capabilities in support of USSTRATCOM.
